How does the writer structure the text to vary the tension for the reader? In your answer consider:
•the way he feels in the opening paragraph
•the fears and thoughts he shares with the reader
•the way the passage ends.
You will need to take home the tension checklist and the extract from Touching The Void.
Write a full answer to the question on tension we have looked at today (The task will be also be put on my Blog so you don’t have to write it down!)
Pick four techniques from the checklist to use in your essay. Each one of these should be a full PEE structure. This should then be posted on your Blog.
Hint: Write up your essay using Microsoft Word or a similar program and then copy into Blogger – as Blogger doesn’t have spellcheck or Autosave.
