This week we have been reading the opening few chapters of Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman.
The novel tells of a dystopic world made up of two races of people - the Noughts and the Crosses - and they are not equal - do you remember which of these two races are the 'dominant class' in this society?
Your homework for the weekend is to research another society where a race was considered to be 'second class' to a more dominant type of people. There have been multiple examples of this throughout history - some even still going on today. I want you to research and find some facts about this example - then writing a paragraph about your findings in your own words.
To be discussed in class next lesson so ensure you complete.
